Welcome to the San Diego Association of Diabetes Educators (SDADE), a chapter of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE).

SDADE is comprised of health care professionals from multiple disciplines such as Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitians, Pharmacists, Physicians and Psychologists.  Our members also include representatives from diabetes product companies.  SDADE has over 180 members.

The majority of our members are Certified Diabetes Educators (CDEs), however, this is not a requirement of membership.  In fact, we welcome members who are not certified, but interested in diabetes education and perhaps becoming a CDE in the future.

The purpose of SDADE is:

  • -To provide educational and networking opportunities for the professional growth and development of diabetes educators
  • -To promote and aid the growth and development of quality diabetes education for the person with diabetes
  • -To foster communication and cooperation among individuals and organizations involved in diabetes education
