As of January 1, 2011, membership for SDADE has changed due to revisions made by AADE.

Per AADE:

"AADE members asked for a more convenient, easy-to-use method for accessing information, networking and continuing education at the local and state levels. Local volunteer leaders asked for additional resources and support. As a result, we developed MY AADE NETWORK, a new model of member affiliation that helps to build and nurture members' professional development and relationships.

MY AADE NETWORK has taken several years to build. Surveys of the leadership and members helped us to craft a new model and technology solution that fosters life-long learning and offers instant connectivity and equal access to AADE programs and resources.

MY AADE NETWORK is designed to help members learn more about what's going on - at the local and state levels and in the industry. Local Networking Groups (LNGs) in each state replace local chapters and are supported by State Coordinating Bodies that assist the LNGs and coordinate activities with AADE National.

MY AADE NETWORK also provides collaborative tools for AADE's Communities of Interest (COI), member groups formed based largely on professional practice areas The open-community structure allows members to join or simply view the work of as many COIs as they want at no additional cost. The COIs utilize the MY AADE NETWORK virtual community platform to create better member access for peer-to-peer professional development.

MY AADE NETWORK allows members to:

  • Participate in an LNG
  • Participate in a COI
  • Engage in online discussions
  • Find face-to-face meetings in their area
  • Access documents and tools via an online library
  • Research register and pay for CE courses
  • Mobilize support for a local, state or national issue
